The Diocese has recognised that a lot of energy has gone into training for those in formal licensed ministries, but that this is just a small number of people who are actually providing ministry in the life of the church. So there are now a number of short courses available to help provide confidence for the wider congregation and the ministries that they are carrying out on a regular basis. These include:
- Leading intercessions
- Visiting the sick
- Listening skills
- Reading in church
- Practising prayer
- Making the most of listening to sermons
- Being a welcoming church
- Working disciples
- Sharing our faith
- Effective church meetings
- Chairing church meetings
